Read Steve and Annette's Monthly Updates

Since June 2006, Steve Clark and Annette Ellard have been serving as Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Global Missions field personnel in Louisville through Crescent Hill Baptist Church.  Their work, which began with video support work related to immigrants and refugees, soon became focused on the Karen and other refugees from Burma being resettled in Louisville and across the United States.

What you may not have known is that as CBF Affiliates or AsYouGo field personnel, they are charged with raising funding for their ministry each year (they do not receive a budgeted salary from CBF).  A vital part of their ministry, then is fundraising so that their ongoing work may continue with the Karen in Louisville.

Steve and Annette have asked Kentucky Baptist Fellowship, along with many other supportive churches and faith communities to commit to supporting their ongoing ministry financially. KBF has moved to a more substantial partnership and support of Steve and Annette.  We want to partner and help, and two ways KBF partners with Steve and Annette includes:

- At the 2010 Spring Gathering in Stanford, 100% of the money received from the offerings during Friday and Saturday worship were given to Steven and Annette for their ministry.

- During KBF’s 2010 Winter Coordinating Council Meeting, the body approved a motion to support Steve and Annette financially over the next three years (2010-2012) by contributing $3000.00 annually to their ministry.  Additionally, Steve and Annette will be given space in the KBF newsletter to inform individuals about their ongoing work with the Karen.

Steve & Annette - Ministry to Refugees from Burma from Nell Green on Vimeo.

Since 2006, Steve and Annette have been welcoming the Karen and other refugees from Burma while encouraging churches in Louisville, Kentucky, and across the country to build relationships with these refugees and develop ministries to meet their spiritual and physical needs. Primarily a ministry of availability, Steve and Annette share the love of God through pastoral care, social work, crisis management, advocacy, and consulting to refugees from Burma and those who seek to serve them. Their reputation in the community creates opportunities to share God's promise of a full life for all who follow Jesus the Christ.
