Rachel Held Evans
Award-Winning Christian Author, Popular Blogger
and Speaker

Only coming to one session? - Registration fee - $20
Session 1: Permission To Ask (Thursday, 3:00-5:00pm)
In this session, Rachel will lead a discussion about why so many people, particularly young adults, are leaving the North American Church. Studies show that a high percentage report that they left because they felt their church was not a safe place in which to wrestle with tough questions related to faith. So how can we create better enviornments for "living the questions"? How can we give ourselves (as leaders) and the people in our congregations permission to say, "I don't know," as we travel this journey of faith together. Rachel will share some of her own story during this session while gathering the group into small groups for conversation.
Session 2: My Year of Biblical Womanhood - The Bible as a Conversation-Starter (Thursday, 7:00-8:15pm)
This session will generate lots of laughter and discussion as Rachel will talk about her experience writing her latest book, "A Year of Biblical Womandhood". Rachel will talk about how the Bible is meant to be a conversation-starter, not a conversation-ender, and how sometimes "living the questions" requires a bit of creativity, especially when it comes to biblical interpretation.
Session 3: Living Better Stories (Friday, 10:00-11:30am)
In this final session with Rachel, she will talk about how to connect our stories with God's story by embracing conflict (even political conflict!), engaging Scripture, connecting to rituals and seasons, and living for better material.
